Cheryl Stuart

Senior Financial Advisor, Director of Wealth Management

It was the 1970’s, Wall Street, American Express Inspector General’s Office, when few women ventured into the world of finance. I was promoted to manage an investigation division, comprised of retired NYPD detectives (all men, but that’s another story), conducting joint investigations with the FBI, involving multi-million-dollar heists of blank Travelers Checks from financial institutions, the U.S. Postal Service, and training FBI Agents in identifying counterfeit operations. I soon realized that my passion for investigations, financial negotiations, and unraveling complex transactions was the direction that I wanted to pursue, while remaining in the field of finance, but under my own terms.

Armed with this unusual business background, I established Stuart Associates, Inc. in 1984, helping clients in developing a deeper understanding of investments, financial markets, and how to gain control over issues that would influence their success. For over 40 years, I’ve provided advisory services to my clients and helped them protect their finances. I have a passion to assist in resolving problematic investment transactions with broker/dealers, banks, insurance companies, and supporting efforts to combat financial elder abuse. I’m proud to be an advisor that my clients depend on, to exceed their financial and life goals, knowing that they can rely on my guidance, support, and friendship, and that I always have their backs.

In 2024, I solidified my commitment to ensure that my clients were taken care of, by planning for the continuity of my advisory practice. I received inquiries from 65 financial advisory firms across the country, but the Marshall Financial Group, an independent investment advisory firm, with Peter Marshall at the helm, his partners, financial advisors, and support staff, came to the forefront; a company of experienced financial advisors, providing enhanced financial services, attention to details, care, and warmth. By merging my Firm with theirs, we will continue to provide expertise, personal attention, and care; qualities that make our companies stand out in this complex world of finance. My Executive Assistant of 13 yrs., Alyson Sitler, will continue with all of us.
